NEODESHA, KS

Welcome to Neodesha, KS

Flexibility. This word describes the Neodesha shop, acquired in 1970 from the city of Neodesha. A unique characteristic of the location is its ability to receive cars from two delivering lines--the Union Pacific and the Kansas Eastern Railroads, providing customer flexibility in routing to the facility. The shop, located on 30 acres, has trackage for approximately 350 cars at one time.

WorkerNeodesha is one of the most versatile shops in the Midwest with the majority of work being performed under one roof.

A 33,000 square-foot repair building with two 25-ton overhead cranes will accommodate 16 cars. While capable of handling all types of railcars, this shop has the special capability of performing all repairs, modifications and alterations to tank car tanks including stress relieving.

The cleaning rack has the flexibility to easily handle cleaning needs-general service tank cars, pressure tank cars (including LPG and anhydrous ammonia), pressure differential hopper cars and covered hopper cars. The state-of-the-art paint and lining shop, with a capacity of eight cars in each shop, includes a C.A.B. steel grit blast booth with full automatic grit recovery.

With its ability to clean, repair, paint and line, Millennium Rail, Inc. at Neodesha is a "one-stop-shop," with the flexibility to meet all the customers' needs.
